Deutsch was a fraction as good as your English !!! I was stationed in
Nellingen, south of Stuttgart from 19 58 to ' 60 and my education was
mostly in the typical GI German ....... you know the kind !!! It got me
around pretty well, though, and I did have many wonderful times in nearby
Esslingen, and, of course, in Stuttgart . I also toured the Porsche plant
in nearby Zuffenhausen and was extremely impressed with the way they
built cars there ..... especially since I had previously worked in the
Chrysler
assembly plant in East Los Angeles before my Army time ........
