Nope, just the wrong place at the wrong time. This morning I got over the
Key bridge just before protestors blocked it and stopped traffic. This
evening I walked down to Dupont circle from my hotel to see what all the
noise was and saw 100s of police and a lot of idiots demonstrating. About
10 demonstrators blocked the road holding signs and almost immediately were
knocked on their asses by the police and shoved out of the road. It seemed
kind of extreme but I imagine the police had been dealing with that all day
and were losing their patience. It's not quite the same as on TV.
