For a speedometer, I use a helicopter airspeed indicator with a pitot tube
mounted on the nose of my Manta Mirage. The AZ DOT required a speedometer
and I didn't have a pickoff on my tranny, so I put the airspeed indicator in
the same hole that the speedo came out of. It works and it is technically
legal.

hi folks
has any one used aero instruments in there LSR vehicles I have the 
opportunity to purchase a swag of ultralite stuff  at a good price  quad 
EGT/CHT ,oil temp and pressure , water temp ,fuel pressure air speed 
indicator  all functions programmable and an alarm output per function as 
well as all probes is it ok to use in LSR ??? ( not an aero person ) Gary
