Hi folks, most of you know I'm a lifelong motorcyclist, and among my
other hobbies nowadays I write for Bonneville Racing News. Not for pay,
just for my own enjoyment and to advance the speed trials sport in a
small way.

A lot of you read BRN but for those who don't, and care about motorcycle
streamliners, SOMETHING SPECIAL has come along and you may never get
this chance again.

Sam Wheeler, now 60, is one of the few masters of the Bonneville
motorcycle streamliners on the pjlanet. His latest, the well-known
E-Z-HOOK 'liner, was built beginning in '88 for an assault on the
World's Motorcycle Speed Record, which stands today at 322+ mph, the
Easyriders twin-nitro-Harley-powered bike ridden by Dave Campos.

Sam uses Kawasaki power and at present holds the Bonneville 1350cc Gas
Streamliner record at 285+ and 1350cc Fuel Streamliner at 294+. His
best official timed speed there so far is 304+ at the end of the Five
Mile Long Course. So Sam is close, and HE WANTS THAT RECORD!

Part Two of this Post to follow.
