Confusion alert!

Hot dogs in the UK are not bangers. Hot dogs are hot dogs - a sausage in a
bread roll. Bangers is slang for sausages though. Just the sausage, not the
roll.

"Old banger" is a term for an old car in poor condition, unrelated to
sausages. Banger racing is popular.

A banger is also a small firework...I think firecracker is the translation.

I have no idea what a weener (sp?) is, and I don't think I want to know
either!
