Bryan, I use ordinary 5W-30 from Walmart in my Ardun and I think it does
a great job without any need for external heating.  I can say that if
you strip an engine that has been using it after it sits for 18 months,
you will find it providing ideal lubrication film on the surfaces of cam
lobes and lifters, and everyplace else, waiting to protect the parts at
the next cold start-up.  The oil companies are doing great things with
ordinary engine oils nowadays.  BH
