The MG TD's were a popular sports car in the 50's and 60's. I believe the
April '57 issue of Hot Rod had a story on putting a 265 Chev. V-8 in a TD. A
couple of years later I saw the real deal while in high school. A senior had
one with a V-8, four speed, and a narrowed posi. rear end. This car was like a
restorod. I got a ride to my neighborhood one day and was hooked. I built
three of these cars in the next five years. One of the source cars I purchased
had a V-8 60, which I regret not saving. These cars were the most fun of any
streeter I ever had. I ran Long Beach with this daily driver in 1967, 118@
