Before I settled on the 53 Studebaker, I had thought about several cars that 
have never been built into Bonneville racers, and I found a lot of divergence 
on interpreting the rules for new cars.  I think that before I put a lot of 
sweat and tears into building something that nobody has ever built before, I'd 
put my ideas before the rules committee and get their opinion.
