At the USFRA meeting this evening, Hugh Coltharp had been out to Wendover
setting up the reservations for World of Speed. He said there's a LOT of
water, so much that the water on the salt was up to the roadway on I-80.
The area at the bend of the road and on in toward Wendover is under water as
well. This is looking like the situation in 1983 when events were cancelled
on the salt flats because of high water. We need some warm winds, hot sun
and luck. Keep your fingers crossed.
