Amen to that, Dave. 

A friend in a single- seat racing buggy had a radiator hose blow off the
end of a tube that wasn't beaded. He was driving at the time and the
radiator was rear- mounted just behind his shoulders. He was fortunate
that his burns weren't more serious!

If you use any kind of metal tubing and attach a hose with a hose clamp
don't forget the bead at the end of the tube so the hose can not slide
off.
Everyone else behind you in the staging line will appeciate it.
