Tyler, PURE GREED by the Corporate Big Wigs in charge of Nascar put
those
traditional wonderful racing concepts way back on their list of priorities .
Big Business always aims for and demands the bottom line: MAXIMUM
PROFITS .
Advertising, and aftermarket sales of everything even remotely
related
to racing that Joe Averagefan can be persuaded to buy, equals Big Bucks .

If you really want to see automotive innovation go to Bonneville, El Mirage,
or Maxton.

If you want to see old style wheel to wheel competition, I suggest a World
of Outlaws
sprint car show, or some good short track racing at a local dirt or pavement
oval.

Total Commercialism has greatly altered the racing scene in the past two
decades .

I know I'm living in the past, but the super-expensive jellybean look-alike
taxicabs
just don't do it anymore for many, many of us oldtimers that saw the glory
years .
