Your performance proves to me the benefits of both
processes.
In 1963 I had a heavily modified Yamaha 80 powered
dirt bike that required new main bearings (ball)
about every 10 hours. I went to a bearing house
in L. A. and bought a pare of -8 finish bearings.
I never replaced the mains after that. They weren't
cheap but it had over 100 hrs when I sold it and
they were still tight.
