If you want a proven way into LSR competition why not consider buying
Bonneville LSR vehicles that will be auctioned later this month?
Cars include the ill fated EX255 that Andy Green should have driven in 1998
(but a technical hitch intervened) and a display replica of the same car.
You could bid for the World Fastest Estate Car (Station Wagon in the US) -
MG ZTT V8 of 2002 (So Cal prepared) or the MGF from 1997 that ran well. It
was later used by a blind driver for an unsighted speed record here in the
UK (I think this car may not be as the original specification !).
