Saw your question on land-speed-digest.
I was at the 1963 Speed Trials and well remember the car.
Think have a slide of it.
The 1963 Progran lists him as being from Carlsbad, CA.
It had a Garrelli 2.8 cu in motor.
It was listed ain the I Streamliner class.
Popular Hot Rodding mag of November 1963 has a nice 6 photo spread of Alan
getting into the car.
I ran his name through the "USA People Search" web site and found the
following;
RICHARDS, ALAN D Available ESCONDIDO CA age 52
RICHARDS, ALAN Available CARLSBAD CA age 76
RICHARDS, ALAN Available ESCONDIDO CA age 85
I would guess the 76yr old is the one. That would make him about 33yr in 1964.
