The intended definition is whether the vehicle was manufactured as a sports
car. Even if you could put 10 people in a 911 it will always be a GT. A good
comparison would be a VW Karman-Gia (SP?). They run in production not GT. As
small as a Honda 600 is, it is still production. A Mustang GT is not a GT. So
if you believe as I do the Toyata in question was not built as a sports car
then it is considered production and things can be done to move it into Gas
Coupe, Altered, Etc:.
As for the picture in the 2006 book, not really a good example, as I think I
see a "CC" on the window for Comp Coupe..I guarentee it would not be allowed in
impounds as a GC by Dan W.
