Just returned home from a two week visit to the Eastern part of the
country.

My observations: The Spring Show at Carlisle was extremely wet. The
swap meet area was a mud bog except for one bright soul who put down a
couple of bales of hay in his aisles.
No one observes the speed limits in
Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland and New York, (even if their GPS
units are faulty and show they are traveling too fast).
     The
fastest moving vehicle I saw that I REALLY enjoyed was an Amish buggy
being pulled by a beautiful, proud Morgan. Head up, feet just dancing
down the road and a nice set to it's tail as it trotted
along.
I wanted to take a picture but couldn't find a reasonable place to pull
over in the area before they turned into a farm.
Paid from $2.85.9 to $3.07.9 for 87 octane regular
along
America's Scenic Byways.
The folks at Watkin's Glen race course could take
PR lessons
from Larry Miller. Maybe that's why they have a very open schedule and
his Miller Motorsports Park course is 85% scheduled
though is
yet to have it's first race. See:

The only salt racer I saw was Joe Law in Fairmont, W Va. He is looking
at a $3,000 tab for fuel to race this year ... and that's just to get
there and home again. His car is READY! I was probably a couple of
hours max from Joe Timney, Dave Dahlgren and Bruce Ferguson and others
on this list at different times but just didn't have the time to wander
that far from my personal schedule that had me catching an 8:40 flight
out of Pittsburgh yesterday. There's always next year ... and I'll
have another granddaughter to visit in Morgantown next year.
