What is used in NASCAR motors. Unless someone knows a F-1 engine builder
he will have the best information available.

Strega (P-51) had engine bearing problems with a "new" bearing design last
year at the Reno Air Races. I don't know if King Bearings were the "new"
design but I plan to find out.

OBTW have you seen: http://www.musclemotorparts.com/InTheKnow.htm
