Well, we are buttoning up the motor for our stab at upping the XO/BGC
record. We have about 0.040" clearance between the valve and the head. The
engine will probably never run more than about 5500 rpm, and I am wondering
when valve float becomes an issue. We are using stiffer springs. Isn't
there a formula or rule of thumb for determining the amount of float? Some
percent of the lift..
