Hi Dougaloonie

The 30 Model A coupe is a clone of my first hot rod. You know how everybody
has that "one that got away" that they wish they could have back. I have about
10 of them and the coupe is one of them.

I built the first one when I was 15. 296" flatty, 3x2's, finned heads, the
whole bit. I ran it in D/Altered in NHRA. I went to a 303" Olds, then a 324"
Olds, 283" Chevy and finally ended up with a 425 hp 409, 4 speed. I eventually
pulled the 409/4 speed and put it in my 57 post. I sold the 30 coupe for $500
with a 283. Always wanted it back so I cloned it. This ones better and much,
much faster! I pulled the clones 409 and installed the SB2.2 to break it in
before Bonneville. As can be seen in the pic in Hot Rod, this breakin method
is much more fun then watching it grind away on a dyno!

Odd Toe
