Keith: That would be EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) invented by the
Russians in 1953. A graphite or brass electrode burns the hole through the
rod. In my experience the minimum diameter for gun drilling is 1/8". There
may be exceptions.  -Elon

Could be why these Carillo rods that I have are emp drilled from the crank
to the wrist pin eh? Hmmm
