You're missing the flux capacitor you fool!!!! LOL
 
The problem with not cutting off the alternator lead is you still have a  hot 
lead directly to the battery. If the "big wire" between the  
alternator/battery gets damaged or shorted there's no way to save your sweet  
butt from being 
a flamer. No, use the $28 switch that also cuts out the  alternator.
 
I think the rules state the master electrical cutoff switch must disable  the 
entire electrical system, or something like that. You want to do that  anyway.
