I replaved the white DRL on my truck with the Amber long life units,

List,
I have a 97 Chev truck with the daylight running headlights. They are
getting somewhat dim and I want to replace them. I'd like to use
halogen bulbs but I wonder if the headlight units are designed to handle
the heat they create. The Sylvania web site makes recommendations about
the high beams but not the low beams.
Anyone know what the situation is on those?
