Gastank Sending Unit

        I just removed the sending unit from my wife's TF.  The float is 
froozen 
tight.  If I take it apart, is there much hope on unfreezing it, and 
getting it back together so it does not leak (the leaking between the tank 
and the whole unit not withstanding).  We can live without a warning light 
telling us when to get gas, but I would hate to have another gas leak.
