| What causes dieseling or post ignition and how can it be tamed? - cooler plugs, change plug gap, advance the timing, or what? My XPAG has new rings and valves and rebuilt carburetors and now I am experiencing dieseling most of the time when I turn off the engine. I previously only had it occasionally - but then, I was burning oil and the plugs were generally fouled so perhaps post ignition was "discouraged".
