I had to send my reduction drive for the rev counter out to have the
output shaft re-sleeved so that the gears would mesh. It came back from
the shop missing parts from the other (generator) side. The generator
has a hollow shaft with an open groove, like a split at the end, about
1/4" wide by an inch long. My reduction gear shaft is round, with a
transverse hole just below the tapered tip. What do I need to engage
the generator shaft?
