Rear Main Seal

I just got back from a 600 mile trip in my new Rover 3.5 conversion. The
rear main is leaking quite badly. Went through about 4 qts of oil. I was
wondering if the Buick 215 and Rover 3.5 rear mains are the same. Also will
I be able to do this with the engine in the car if there is enough clearance
to remove the oil pan?
