And if you are thinking about the suppressor attached to the
electro-mechanical that was to prevent radiated interference affecting *other*
systems, again nothing to do with the gauges.  The original system switched
the system voltage i.e. up to 14.5v on and off about once per second, to
*average* about 10v, it is that impervious to instantaneous variation.
Incidentally an electronic system that provides a stabilised 10v immediately
after switch-on will result in slower gauge rise times than the original
system, which applied full system voltage for several seconds after
switch-on.

applacation. The gauges don't care.
