Are you by chance using metallic linings? These are deadly and can lead to
all manner of strange happenings on T-types (especially TCs)

can't help. Never tried it or even heard of it, so I suspect it may not be
possible or practical.

No, not if it is not leaking. However, the TF system is pressurized
slightly, unlike earlier T types. So, at a minimum, use some gasket sealant.
