A "note" on the board regarding sticking valves arrived here
garbled. These are my comments on MGA/MGB cylinder heads. Use bronze-
silicone valve guides. Instead of the factory 0.0005 clearance, use 0.002!
This is a very loose fit -- so, use FELPRO umbrella seals SS70373 to
eliminate oil coming down the guides. If the head uses dual springs, be
certain to remove the conical oil guard or it will slice the new seal to
pieces. Use hardened valve seats, absolutely. Use original style valves
as it is the seats, not the valves that fail. On the other hand, those
"rimflo" valves are supposed to be really neat. Safety Fast! John Twist
