I also thought that it would be easy to find out if u-joints are
worn, but at least the Midget has only one side free to check by
grabbing onto that rear u-joint. The front is a bit farther away
and it leaves a bit of guess work if there's a play or not.
The other way would be, if the u-joints are shot, to see if there's
a clunking noise when changing the gas pedal from acceleration to
pushing/coasting.
