Two questions for you experienced restorers. My '63 B is belly up having
received new inner rockers, wheel wells, and misc other repairs. I'm ready
to turn it over to finish the outer rockers, fenders, and floor boards. The
car was sand blasted last October though there were a number of places, like
the trans. tunnel, that were still covered with grease and undercoating that
I've cleaned off. I'm debating whether to give the underside another shot
with the sand blaster and get a coat of primer on it before I turn it over
but I don't have painting equipment so I need to transport the car and have
someone else do it. The question - is the benefit of getting at the
underside great enough to do the primer now or should I just wait until the
entire car is done and do the whole thing at once??

Second question. My 13 year old son is anxious to get into the engine even
though it will be a while before the engine gets into the car. Though it got
a complete rebuild 19 years ago, it only has about 2000 miles on it (the car
sat for about 15 of those 19 years). I've pumped oil into the cylinders and
I turn the crank every few years and know that it hasn't seized. Question is
how far should I tear it down this time? At a minimum I'll do the gaskets
and have the valves done but should I trust the condition of the bearings and
rings?
