Frank , you raise an issue that I thought I read about somewhere. On page 76
of Norman Nock's book entitled "Tech Talk" he shows the following:
Recall Campaign B619
MG/Triumph Safety Belts
September 1985
Apparently , there could be a problem with the retractors.
VIN Numbers Affected:
MGB 191159 to 229526
Midget 429529 to 523002
Also, I believe that Jaguar Cars Inc. are required to correct this situation
as there are no time limits on recalls and Jaguar represents Rover in North
America. Worth checking.
