RE: MGA paint colors

I recently purchased my '59 MGA (at least it's registered as a '59, I think
it is probably more like a '57 based on the car/chasis number).  It's
currently a "kind-of white" and I'm dreaming of a new paint job (after a
little body work).  

Does anyone know what the original color choices were for the 1500 A's?

Is there a way to tell the original color using the car/chasis number?
