I seem to recall that the tach, fuel guage, and flasher unit use a common
ground and/or a common relay under the dash on the late model B's.  Sounds
like that's the source of your problem. Look for a bad ground connexion there
or a bad relay.  Check the electrical wiring diagrams to make sure it's all
three.
