Have been noticing that as the summer temperatures rise into the
low nineties the 1960 MGA no longer stays at about 190 deg.F
and got as high as 212-220 F during sustained speeds of 60-
70mph. The car has had a new Moss radiator installed last Fall
and a new 7psi radiator cap. The last time I checked the thermostat
it seemed to be functioning well. The coolant is fresh and clean.
Is it a common characteristic that MGA's react to high ambient
temps. this way or do I have another problem? I don't know
what other approaches to take next. Any suggestions?
I still have the original radiator and wondered if there is
any way to recore it so to increase its cooling capabilities. If
this is feasible would it solve the problem? Any comments
        would be appreciated.
        Ed in Ohio.
