Indexing the plugs is simply installing the spark plugs so that the opening
between the centre and side electrode faces the intake valve.
First mark each plug with a felt tip marker on the metal hex to show the
position of the side electrode. Install the plug in a cylinder and observe
the mark. It should be AWAY from the intake valve. If not, re install in
another cylinder. Do this with all plugs/cylinder combinations until all
plugs gaps are facing the intake valve. You sometimes have to have a couple
of extra plugs on hand to get a full set.
