Paul H- Welcome to the LBC monkey house! As far as I can glean,
"LBC" stands for Little British Car, however I have been tempted to
substitute Leaky, Lousy, or Lamented depending on my mood.

As for my V-8, I have begun a partial engine teardown to replace the
camshaft, cam drive, lifters, rockers, and rocker shafts. I will replace the
water pump at the same time, since it has developed a bearing howl.

I have reached a point where I have removed all the readily apparent
bolts from the timing cover (including the two front sump bolts), but
the cover refuses to budge, even with some judicious raps with my
lead knockoff hammer. Have you ever done this on your V-8 and do you
have any suggestions?

Thanks and Welcome, Paul K
