Hi all,
I have a question for anyone who might have a suggestion. I got a hold
of a 65 midget,(had been sitting fo 4 yrs.) The motor turned, and with a
little farting around I got it running. I changed the oil ( if you want
to call it oil) and put in some 20/50. Now I've been noticing a rattling
noise I thought might be a rod bearing, but after letting the wife take
me for a ride I decided the noise could be coming from the drive-train.
Symptoms
Full acceleration-no noise
De-acceleration-no noise
light acceleation-NOISE
Free rev in nuetral-no noise
Shifts fine, no tranny noise (other than rattle)
Any Ideas anyone ? am I looking at a motor problem, or a drivetrain
problem ?
