Canvas Top Woes

Greetings All,

I have a couple of questions concerning my 56 roadster MGA...

1. I have what used to be a black canvas top, it's now pretty gray 
due to fading. Is there a dye or stain that I can use on it?

2. My car has been converted to 12v neg ground, what is the least 
expensive but suitable coil for it? (my finances can't afford the 
best right now, but I don't want to scrimp too much and mess up my 
ignition system)

Any help would be appreciated...
