MGB Engine Numbers

Ok, I'm a little new at this and I need a little help.  

I have a 77 Roadster with engine number 18V/886AE/L016491.  Looking through
my Haynes manual, I cannot find the 18V/886AE listed.  Should I be using
the same specs, etc. as the 884AE?  From what I read the 884AE was for the
overdrive model which I don't have (at least I havn't found that extra gear
yet.) 

Any help would be appreciated.
