Hello Tony,
All of my overdrive units have come from parts cars I have purchased
and therefore I've been fortunate to be able to use the speedometer and
drive shafts from the donor cars, or will be when I finilly get around
to installing one in one of my drivers. I don't believe they can simply
be recalibrated. There is a guy in Mamaroneck, N.Y., Nisonger
Instrument Sales and Service, 570 Mamaroneck Ave. 10543 phone#
914-381-1952. There were three different O/D gages so be sure to
specify year the O/D came from. You should try to use O/D unit from car
that had same dash style as the car you are installing into. An O/D
gage from a 76 will not fit dash of 77 and the gearing in the 76 O/D is
not syncronized to the gearing of a 77 O/D gage. It can get pretty
complicated. Keep us posted and Safety Fast, David Deutsch
