Steve,
There is only one ID Plate one the MGA for the serial number. There
does not seem to be any kind of cross referencing of the serial no., chasis
no, engine no. when the cars were produced either.
Two suggestions:
1. decipher the Serial no. on the ownership to check year, original
colour, engine size, etc. If you dont have this info post or E mail me the
ID no and I can give you this.
2. contact NAMGAR. They may have the car registered with some info
on it if a previous owner was a member.
These things will not prove that the ownership is correct but will give you
an idea if it is a match up at least.
