FWIW, I'll add the following to this thread. In the auto section of a
bookstore several days ago, a large-format book with a bright yellow lemon
on the dust cover caught my eye. Can't recall the exact title but it was
devoted exclusively to the discussion of the cars of the world that had
serious design flaws. (These are referred to as lemons in the US - is that
term used elsewhere?)
There was no mention of any MG, but about 5 different Triumphs were
discussed in detail. In fact the only Triumph model I could think of that
wasn't there was the TR8. (But then the book also listed the Volvos of the
early 70's as lemons for several reasons - I owned and loved one of these
for 16 years....)
