I have two wiper motors for my TD. Both of them are afflicted with
the usual disease of this species, which is that the armatures are
burnt from overheating. (They have some strange dual-winding
configuration, and one of the windings is toast on each pole).

I sent these to a chappie who advertises an electrics repair service
on the internet. Both motors were running, albeit weakly, when I sent
them. I carefully explained my complaint in the cover letter to him.

After about 10 days, the motors were received COD, cash only. The
note attached said that both motors were "restored to factory
specification", but that the "Warranty would be violated if the seals
were broken." Each screw was covered with nail polish. The motors
ran, albeit weakly. One of them had been painted with a spray can,
gloss black. The other one was already painted when I sent it in the
proper wrinkle finish. I opened the covers. There was evidence of
some lubrication, but the windings had not been touched. I was
apparently charged $75 each for a little grease and a bad paint job.
I sent the guy a letter describing my concern to which he has not
responded.

So the motors will have to go to someone else to get restored to
"factory specification".

I will supply the name of this outfit via private e-mail to anyone
concerned. Understand that this simply describes my experience, but
caveat emptor....
