I have a 1979 MGB roadster which was converted to a single bar rear
bumper by the PO. In a never-ending quest for a return to originality
I would like to acquire the appropriate parts to do the conversion.
I would need both R and L bumper bars, but don't know if I need new
license plate light assemblies or bumper brackets. Can anyone advise
what is required and/or where I might find what I need?

PS. The sun shone today. This is the third day in a row. The
temperature reached a high of minus 15. Joy! I shovelled off my
Cadillac Cimarron. It only took 40 minutes. What fun to re-discover a
vehicle after it has been buried for three weeks under 70cm of snow.
My punishment? More snow is predicted for the rest of the week. This
will be the second-snowiest November in history. It may have been the
coldest. I would love to try some of that awful N. California winter.
