heard of the wonders of using synthetics in our LBC's.

Can anyone give some real life experiences and suggestions which Redline
gear oil I should use. I seem to remember the MTL stuff is what I need. >>

I have a friend I helped sell an MGB to another person. One of the first
things the new owner did was to put some synthetic oil in the gear box. He
then experienced grinding gears when shifting. I drove the car a couple of
months before and the transmission was fine. The new owner is now
contemplating installing new synchronizers. I believe the oil is the only
problem.

Synchronizers need some friction to get the gears turning the same speed
before they mesh. Be careful. Apparently, you can get too much of a good
thing.
