Aha!! I wonder how many other "Alaska 1997" travellers know about this
"must-know" man -- Robert Service?!
Reading his poetry ~before~ going to Alaska makes the trip all that much
more memorable, imo. He paints the pictures of the ground you stand upon
when you are in Alaska. But he would have been there a long time before any
of us...
Note: Service's books are (were?) difficult to find in bookstores. I hope
that is not the case now...
