stupid/ humiliating thing I did

Concerning the brake light switch: wanted to test switch so decided to 
by pass. disconnected hot and switched wire connectors from switch  
leads and put aligator clips on the two switch leads and walked around 
back to check for lights. Only took a second to realize my  stupidity  
and connect the wires together with alligator clips and discover that 
yes the switch is the problem. Safety Fast, David Deutsch
