<<As you may know from my previous postings on wheels, I am a great fan
of powercoating. I powdercoated everything possible on my MGB engine
and am very pleased with the results. The bugs and dirt wipe off and
the finish has remained as new after 6,000 miles.>>

John,
I'm looking at powder-coating a lot of parts on my B as well.
I'm most attracted to the corrosion resistance and resistance to
chipping and flaking. When powder-coating first became popular, Car
Craft magazine did an article on it where they coated a pice of
metal, pounded it with a ball-peen hammer, and bent the panel double,
with little if any ill effects on the coating. Do you mind if I ask
what a typical piec cost to powder coat, your cooling fan, for example? Did
you prep the piece first, or just take it off your engine and hand it
to the coaters?
Scott
