Do you have a price/costco near you. They have a really nice 2.5 ton floor
jack for way under $70. I bought my 2.25 ton there a few years ago. Most of
my friends bought them too because they liked mine and the price was
right...

Can anyone tell me if there's anywhere on this continent that I can buy a
floor type jack that's not made in China for a reasonable price?
There seems to be two countries of origin and two prices:
Made in China.....................$70-$120
Made In USA.......................$350-$425
I always prefer to buy American, but I'm almost forced not to in this case
since the price difference is massive.
I would pay double for American made, but not triple!
